Tell us which minute we got wrong

Three people read everything that arrives here, usually on a Tuesday evening. We reply to most messages within a week, and we reply fastest to the ones that contain a timestamp.

Thank you, friend — your note is in the queue.

Nothing was transmitted anywhere: this form is a demonstration and validates entirely inside your browser. On the live desk it would land in the Tuesday folder, and one of the three of us would answer from a Cardiff address within about a week.

The desk is occupied on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Post arrives when it arrives; email is far more reliable.

Before you write

  • Publishers: we take no embargoes and cannot promise timing, so a key may sit unused for months.
  • Developers: a note explaining an intentional design choice will be added to the log verbatim if you want it there.
  • Readers: disputes with a minute number are handled the same week. Everything else joins the ordinary queue.
  • We do not run guest posts, link exchanges, or sponsored placements of any kind.

What happens to your message

This form runs no server code and sends no data. On the live desk, notes are kept in one mailbox for twelve months, then deleted. We do not build a mailing list and there is nothing to unsubscribe from.

Frequent replies

Possibly, but slowly. Three people paying for their own copies can manage about two logs a month, and requests are weighed against what the archive is missing rather than by how many people ask. Suggestions for smaller releases have a much better chance than the obvious ones, because nobody else is timing those.

Quote whatever you like with a link back and the log number. For a full reprint, ask first, mostly so we can tell you whether that entry currently carries an addendum or a dissent that the version you copied would omit.

Almost always because the Tuesday evening in question was spent finishing a log instead. If a fortnight has passed, send it again with the same subject line; nothing is lost, but things do occasionally sink. Notes containing abuse are deleted without an answer and that policy is not negotiable.
